The plastic
High quality HDPE
The plastic Comfy Chair furniture is made of high-density HDPE plastic. HDPE (high density polyethylene) is a very strong material, which can withstand weather and wind. Even frost or autumn storms are no problem for this strong material. No wonder this type of plastic is also used for making outdoor toys, street furniture and even pond walls.
Thanks to the exceptionally strong material, the plastic adirondack chairs from Comfy Chair are absolutely “hufter-proof”. The solid plastic also makes the furniture heavy, so it stays in place even in strong winds.
Where is this product made?
All plastic Comfy Chair furniture is produced in Canada. When we started Comfy Chair, we only had the wooden models in our range. Later, we started using the sawing moulds of the wooden chairs to cut HDPE parts as well. So our plastic adirondack chairs have exactly the same design as the classic wooden chairs. They are just as comfortable.

The Comfy Chair design
Comfy Chair’s plastic garden furniture are adirondack chairs. This classic garden furniture style dates back to the early 20th century and is known for its comfort and rounded design. Comfy Chair furniture has the characteristic adirondack slats and is authentic. Yet Comfy Chairs are distinguished from other adirondack chairs by a number of extra comfortable modifications. For instance, the seat is deeper than average, making the chairs comfortable even for tall people. Also, the armrests are extra wide and the design of the chair is ergonomic.
Maintaining the plastic chairs
As far as maintenance is concerned, Comfy Chairs will not costs you much time. Unlike wood, the plastic material never needs any maintenance. You can always leave the furniture outside. After a few months of overwintering, however, it does need to be cleaned. This is easy to do with some soapy water. You will find more tips on our maintenance page.
Assembly
We ship the plastic Comfy Chair furniture partially pre-assembled. Most of the assembly has already been done. In a few simple steps, you can further assemble the furniture yourself.
